Gail Finan, Foodservice Management Professional, has been the Director of Dining at Cornell University since 2008. During her career she has served as National Association of College and Food Service (NACUFS) regional president and treasurer. She served on the board of the National Restaurant Association of Philadelphia. Finan is a graduate of The Hotel School at Cornell University and has been a chair member at the Elevating College Dining Committee. Her resume includes operating as the University Dining Services Director at Bowling Green State University, owner and president of Creekside Restaurant & Bar, and Director of Administrative Services at Bryn Mawr College.
Finan currently manages and administers student dining at 32 separate units that make up Cornell Dining at Cornell University with focus on their mission statement as follows:
“We are highly committed to serving high quality foods that are healthy and creatively prepared with genuine care for a diverse community.”
In addition to her obligations and responsibilities of running the $55 million operation at Cornell, Finan is also committed to participating in leading Cornell to be a leader in the sustainable food arena.
